Cardinal Fitness strives to foster community relationships that create awareness about healthy living and fitness. We are dedicated to making a positive impact by participating in a variety of community events each year. Events range from health walks to family festivals to annual health fairs open to the community.

KIDS IN TRAINING TUESDAY!  SILVER CROSS HOSPITAL - JOLIET, IL

Cardinal Fitness partnered with Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, Illinois, to bring awareness to the fight against childhood obesity. Before several Joliet Jackhammers home baseball games, Cardinal Fitness invited children to join them on the field for stretching and aerobic activity. After the game, children ran the bases and were given a Kids In Training Kit that included information on staying active. Cardinal Fitness continues to work with Silver Cross Hospital to develop programs that encourage the community to stay active.

PALOS BANK SOUTHWEST HALF MARATHON - PALOS HEIGHTS, IL

Cardinal Fitness has proudly sponsored the Palos Bank Southwest Half Marathon for the past two years. As a major corporate sponsor of this event, Cardinal Fitness was on-site the day of the race, cheering on runners as they crossed the finish line. The Cardinal Fitness mascot was also in attendance and participated in the Walk/Run/Roll half mile race for children with special needs.

MDA WALK - BROOKFIELD, IL

Cardinal Fitness proudly sponsored the MDA Stride and Ride 5K Walk in an effort to raise money for muscular dystrophy research. As a corporate sponsor for the third year, Cardinal Fitness hoped to encourage families in the Chicagoland area to take part in the event to help find a cure for neuromuscular diseases. In 2008, the walk took place at the Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield, Illinois. Cardinal Fitness members and employees showed their support by walking in the MDA Stride and Ride with the Cardinal Fitness team.

FREE HEALTH FAIRS

Each Cardinal Fitness location hosts an annual health fair open to the entire community. A variety of vendors participate by providing health tips, nutritional information, and product samples. See your neighborhood Cardinal Fitness for details!
